Wanted: Ridley Park Borough Manager...again

In a stew that's been brewing for sometime, current Borough Manager William Stewart added his name to the growing list of EX Ridley Park Borough Managers.

Stewart added his name to the EX-list at January's Borough Council meeting through a resignation notice that was not accepted by all Council Members (CM).  CM's Broadhurst, Gale, and Brennan voted against accepting Stewart's resignation, while the majority of CM's made it time for RP's latest BM to move on.

Stewart's name goes on the list of Ridley Park Borough Managers No More along with past Borough Managers: Terry Bradley, Carole Nasella, and Dawn Human.

A lot of interesting posts here since I last looked. Yet I still don’t know why Bill Stewart quit the BM job. Does anyone have that information? Or is it just another big Ridley Park political secret?  (Way too many of those in my opinion).

Thank you.

There should be an official Ridley Park Calendar, not a partisan one-party calendar.

Bill and I had a long conversation Tuesday morning concerning his potential resignation later that night. I told Bill I would not accept his resignation after he told me that being the BM of RP was his "Passion". I didn't buy the story of giving up something your passionate about to accept work at a sewage treatment facility, so I voted No!
Ed made some really good points that hit home! I feel partially responsible for Bill being forced make this decision. I know certain people did not appreciate his willingness to be open/honest with all 7 council members. The pettiness does nothing to move our town forward. I have a lot of respect for the work Bill has done and wish him all the best.

@Jared,  I agree with the sentiments of Ed Behrle.  Concern for our Town should rise above low-ball politics.  However... Could you explain why you, Dan Broadhurst, and Mike Gale, three Borough Councilors elected by the people of RP are not listed on the "Official Republican Calendar?"  How petty and self serving can one "political monolith" be and still pretend they are acting in the "interest of the community?"  PS:  Thank the three of you for service with integrity.  Maybe some of the others will learn from your example...but I doubt it.

Mike did vote yes to accept Bill's resignation.  I think it shows everyone that Mike can speak for himself.  Mike did articulate his position at the council meeting and has every right to vote whatever way he wants.  Mike also does a great job on council.  If he were an investigator and you were a guilty perpetrator, you're finished.  Meticulous fact finder.

@Linda, yes

@ken, Linda,  There are dozens of wild geese at the Lake that are dirty and pollute the Lake and Eastlake Park with dangerous bacteria.  Are they also banned by the Borough Ordinance?  Signs at the Lake prohibiting feeding the geese are ignored.

@Ken, are there others who have chickens?

Comment by Kenneth Harper on January 20, 2017 at 2:12am
@Tim, Got rid of the chickens, this ordinance was BS, only used against me.

@Ken, How are things going for you since the Borough Council adopted their "Ban the Chickens" ordinance?
