Sounds more like complacency.  According to the results, there were still a good amount of voters who agreed it was time for a change, just not enough, unfortunately.

Michelle....the unknown men outside the polling places were union men brought from Philadelphia by puppet master Bob Boland. He's been doing this for years. Nice isn't it????

We get the point…nothing wrong with suggesting sheep-like behavior by “most” (about 55%) of RP voters…

Sheep:  domesticated, grazing animals; soft, cuddly, guileless and easily swayed by nature are nurtured for their valuable wool.  They are pacific and meek; we count them till we fall asleep.  Sheep are easily outwitted by the wilier Border Collie who rounds them up for an annual shearing.

Sheep are generally uninformed, and therefore they don’t have much say in the matter.  They bleat a lot in protest, but never miss their annual fleecing around Tax Time.

Sheeple, on the other hand are uninformed voters, ignorant or uncaring about past performance of those they re-elect.  So they are probably more accurately thought of as Lemmings.  How many will follow their leader off the looming fiscal cliff?  Just how solvent are the Borough’s finances?  How many faithful Lemmings thought to worry about that before voting on Election Day?  Did the majority of RP voters (about 55%) wonder where the answers were before they re-elected “The Gang that Couldn’t Answer Questions Straight?”

@Paul Goings: please do not put words in my mouth. No I did not mean they're sheep b/c they are "people who aren't enlightened enough to agree with me."  I mean they are sheep b/c they knew about the billboard, knew it was the wrong thing to do, and still re-elected the people who did it.

I know that both parties have people to help hand out lierature, but what was up with all those guys hanging outside of the polls.  I didn't recognize any of them as Ridley people.  Some of them were rude, if not down-right hostile.

Jml......exactly. I work in the 3rd pct and in the Presidential we had three times as many people vote. As I said local government affects you more. So why not vote?????

How can people complain about the borough and the school board when we don't show up.  The only we can make our voices heard is to VOTE!!!!

It just shows Ridley Park can be bought.....shame on the many voters who did not come out to vote yesterday. People don't realize that their local government effects their everyday life more than the federal government. With the budget for 2014 still looming, I hope we don't get hit with a huge tax increase. Remember last year they did not raise taxes. Should be interesting.

It says a lot about Ridley Park that an 80 year old mayor, a totally unpopular council president + Sam Snow (evidently a loyal republican soldier) had the most votes in yesterday's elections.  Unfortunately it is sad statement, and one that should be regretted.  I have lost respect for all the people that voted these people back in.  I guess the only option is to get out of a borough that has lost its way.
