RP Rec Center?
I don't know what happened with the deal to build a Ridley Township Community Center way out by Boeing, which btw would logistically make no sense. A rec center in RP however would be a great idea. The building next to the RP Athletic Club would be perfect. It is for sale at less than $200,000. I had thought of it as a police station, but found out RP has one, just not centrally located.
It could include a drop in child care, and after school program for chess, pool, and tutoring. We could even run programs for Yoga, knitting, book clubs etc. I often mention to friends that I could run the afternoon program, being a former math teacher and long time business manager.
But kidding aside, I think it would be something to think about.
I have been thinking about this since I saw it was for sale. It would be great to have in in our community.

I brought this to Council's attention several months ago. I thought it would be nice to have a Borough "complex". I did not receive any feedback at all. I ran into Terry Nilon Monday night and he informed me that it has sold.

The Barnstormers had thought of the building too, it would have been great for classes and meetings but being a non-profit totally dependent upon donations, ticket sales and season subscribers just can't do at this time.
