   The swim club has been delinquent for years.  Most of it goes back to Ed Wolff and his mismanagement, which was swept under the rug.  Par for the course.  The place was in disrepair 15 years ago.

Really shocked to hear the RPSC is being sold off for back taxes. Whatever happened there? I haven't lived in Ridley Park for many years, but I do keep up news and this website. I'd heard about the police chief committing suicide. How much is owed? Is it possible to collect money to save it?

I took swimming lessons there when I was a kid. My parents didn't belong to the club, but I had friends who did and they would often bring me in as a guest. I loved it there.

Will it still be a swim club or is it likely a developer will get hold of it?

@doglover,

You are not as far off as Parkermom suggests.  If you want to open a huge can of worms, open a discussion on the former RP Police Chief's suicide in the swim club parking lot after he turned in the RPSC financial statements, and the subsequent disappearance of former swim club official and former RP Borough Council member Ed Wolf....trash talk or truth??

Doglover, I know for a fact Bob Berger does not belong to RPSC.  I go to Nassau and he is a member there.  It amazes me the trash talking that happens on this site.

Plz...don't turn this around. How about all the parents that work extremely hard for their money? Kids will find things to do...play wiffle ball, basketball, climb trees, etc. I'd be concerned about parents that have paid for a membership. If the sale goes through do they get money back? Belonging to the pool is not an entitlement, it's a privelage..one that parents work really hard to afford. Where is the RPSC's financial responsibility? Seems to me that the RPSC, RPAC and RP Boro have a few things/people in common.

Doglover,
I don't understand what is wrong with anyone helping the RPAC or RPSC. Are you suggesting that people should not try and help or support these community organizations? Think of all the kids that are loosing their pool this summer and try to find a way to help them. Instead you turn it into a political issue. You are a sad person.

I'm sure since the RPSC is pretty much an extension of the RPAC, Boland/Berger and the "team" will be helping out the RPSC.
