In case anyone needs a 2013 borough calendar, I saw a small stack of them at the Ridley Park Library this evening and you could pick one up there.

OK, I deleted my last comment because it didn't sound the way I wanted it to.  The gist is: please don't add a picture to a blog post that I put there.  The image of the calendar next to my original post was not put there by me.

The calendars at the library are not the ones from Charlie's shop.

Please explain why you keep calling the other ones "New Jersey" calendars.

Charlie,

Thank you for the mention, there is NO other calender that I think we as residence should have. The calendar from the other side should stay there, "WE" support our community not New Jersey. This is a slap in he face for them to even try this, I guess it might be more of the "Midget Brigade" don't know. I know for a fact that Charlie works very hard on this (unlike some) and I will continue to provide Photo's. Thank you Charlie for all you do with the News.  Thank you Howard for all you do with RPOL, you are real gentelmen.

Be safe be well,

Appreciate the nice comments for the Ridley NEWS Full Color Ridley Park Calendar for 2013.

As many know the Ridley NEWS has  been publishing our full color event calendar for many years.  This year, as in past years,  every home in Ridley Park received our calendar along with the businesses in the district.  Our 2013 calendar  cover photo is a scene captured by Ridley Park photographer, Kevin Atwell.  A beautiful photograph of Ridley Park Lake at sunset.  You will find many great photos and events in the Ridley NEWS Ridley Park Calendar, 2013.  It is dedicated to our brave men and women who served our Nation.  You will find local Parkers photos who served on its pages.  I love my buddy, Howard McCoy, for the very valuable service he renders to our commnity.  His Ridley Park On Line is a gateway to communication for all of us. Great stuff enjoy it everyday.   However, I take umbrage with you Howard when you refer to the black and white, no photo filled Borough New Jersey calendar that was put out this year by the resolution of 5 members of the current Ridley Park council, as the Official Calendar, and the Ridley NEWS Calendar as unofficial.  In the minds, hands and walls of the homes the Ridley NEWS Ridley Park Calendar is utilized and they are many,  our Ridley NEWS Ridley Park full color calendar is THE OFFICIAL ONE TO HAVE.  The Ridley Park Library has our Ridley NEWS Full color calendar hanging on it's wall.  The small quantity we left with them and Langguth's gift shop were snapped up by residents seeking additional copies. The only calendar presently in the library is the New Jersey Ridley Park calendar, that no one seems to take home .

I do have a few of our Ridley NEWS 2013 Ridley Park calendars still on hand.  An email to ridleynews@comcast.net with your address will get one delivered to you.

You may want to tune in to the replay of the February Ridley Park Council meeting (Comcast Channel 10, RCN channel 52) and witness the answer Paul Mattus gives when councilor Jared Brennan asks: " you, Paul, stated the New Jersey calendar for Ridley Park you proposed, would be fully distributed by that company and no Ridley Park Borough equipment or personnel will be used in that distribution"  Mattus answered, "yes, that is correct,"  but, when Mr.Brennan follows up with reports that the New Jersey Ridley Park Calendar was reportedly seen by the truck load in the Ridley Park Borough garage this year, covered with a tarp and later the Ridley Park Borough truck was seen delivering the New Jersey calendars to a location on Chester Pike in the Borough, Mattus haltingly replies, "Thats news to me, I don't know anything of them (highway ) being used in any way.thats news to me" he repeated.

Please view that segment and lets try and determine who is telling the truth and who is telling the lie.  It has  also been reported from serveral sources that the New Jersey calendars were delivered to the Borough. The New Jersey publisher of the Mattus proposed callendar stated that Ridley Park Borough had his calendars and were handling delivery.    Charlie Maurone, Editor, Ridley NEWS

I'm referring to the one Charlie produces.  I was unaware that another calendar was going to be produced.  I hope that doesn't follow the same pattern as updating the borough website (council minutes are now up to August 2012, and a couple of other sections are out of date).

The Ridley Park calendar that was sent out to all the residents was from Charlie Maurone.  The other calendar hasn't been sent out. It is the middle of February already, what's going on??

Which Ridley Park Calenders are you referring to; the newest official ones, or the unofficial ones we received in January from Charlie Maurone's organization?  I have Charlie's but I haven't seen the newest one - have you or anyone received a copy?
