It"s surprising no one has recalled Mr. Glenn's many appearances, as a citizen, before previous councils.  His moments of veiled sarcasm are hard to forget.

It's strange, that after 127 years, the public portion  of the meetings has been redefined.  What does council fear? It will be ironic when, on Memorial Day, the mayor will speak of respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms, while having colluded to dampen the rights of the borough"s citizens.  As a veteran I'll be a little disappointed with the insincerity and hypocrisy.

Sandy and all—

 May 20 is a primary election, which means registered voters in each party vote only to nominate candidates for their party. Then in November all voters can choose between the party nominated candidates. The governor candidates have websites—you can google their names for info—Dems are State Treasurer Rob McCord;Tom Wolf, Allyson Schwartz, & Katie McGinty.

On May 20, you can vote for your choice for Governor and Lt. Gov.

For Dem voters, our local Dem endorsed candidates include: John Kane (State Senate) ; Mary Ellen Balchunis  (US Congress), & your Ridley Park Dem committee person at the bottom of the ballot. Also on the ballot, choices for 10 seats to represent DelCo on the Dem State Committee-

Can someone tell me who are we voting for in May? I've gotten no literature from anyone, so I don't know who's running. Thank you to anyone who wants to tell me. Have a fun raining day. Good day to read a book and take naps all day, go out to dinner, and come home for little TV and then go to bed.

tom p  Parker Girl really gets to you doesn't she? I don't see you responding to other ppl who make the same point as her. You don't respond to Informed RU or Sandy or other members who have the same opinion, you seemed focused on Parker Girl. Must be personal. You do seem to have a knack for turning things around. I think her point of the AC wasn't about Dan it was about the posse that shows up every time Berger/Boland/Mattus/Glenn  (their bread and butter) seems to come under fire.

@parkergirl,

If voters in this town have such a long memory, why did the current cabal get re-elected?  I think your confidence about a full out blitz is a bit unrealistic; the last election showed that most RP voters are sheep who go baa-ing to the polls and vote the same people who screwed them over.

Parkergirl,
Dan broadherst has the right to bring as many members of the athletic club as he wants to the meeting. Every Ridley park resident has the right to go to council meetings. Not just the residents who agree with your ideas.

They don't like Andy asking the same questions. But being as stupid as they are, all they have to do is tell us the answer and not keep saying "I'm not answering any questions" this session is only for comments. That's BULL CRAP !! They won't tell us the truth anyway because  they lie about everything and only make A$$es of themselves. This loud mouth aggrogant man (Glenn) has to go !!!  How can we get rid of him. Like others, I remember him always complaining about the lights, plus other stuff. He wanted the council to do something about it. He always asked questions, so how come now we as residents and tax payers we can't say a word. Can we as  residents get rid of him and get him out of office and maybe out of town? Anyone have any ideas?  I wish more people would come to Council Meetings. Let's try and get them to come out.

I remember only too  well , when I was on council, how  Mr. Glenn used to come to council  meetings  every month and berate council . I  He was loud,  and disrepectful.   His favorite complaint concerned the street lights in town and how they  weren't all matching in intensity.  We tried to solve the problem but never seemed to  meet his expectations.  There are many people who still remember  his tirades. I do watch other community council meetings to compare  our council's behavior with others.  Other councils  encourage  questions .  THey realize that if citizens underestand the  issues they will be more suppportive of the council's goals.  Freedom to ask quetions does not exist in Ridley Park.  Where did they ever get the idea that they are not accountable to the people for their actions.???  It is shocking to  even think about it.;  let alone realize that it's trus.
