Thank you for your kind words. This is not going to be a done deal. I believe we can stop this billboard from being installed and I want it removed and placed in Catania Park where it belongs. Michelle your perseverance and resolve are admirable. Want to run for council?...lol Please keep up the fight to stop this. The residents of Hetzel Park showed me what they are made of by getting answers about this entire saga of deceit and greed. I personally learned so much about who is the driving force behind this debacle by listening to the residents speak. A few other "players" who have not been mentioned in this negotiating need to be answering questions. Nick Miccarelli, Bob Boland, and Mike Puppio, our solicitor's boss and part owner of the law firm, have direct ties to this failed negotiation. I'm amazed that a lawyer from Springfield ( Mr. Puppio ) knows his own neighborhood fights billboards, but he finds it easy to push them down our borough's throat. We need to start following the money trail on these negotiations. Who gains financially from this billboard? 4 million in profit to the billboard company and $35,000 / year to the borough? I hope these negotiators never try to represent Major League ballplayers obtain contracts.
@ Linda Shockley,
You had every right to have an opinion about Sue and me. We were new to the political scene and after about a year and a half started questioning ourselves and our party. Two years ago we were severed by Bob Boland, Nick Miccarelli, and the Republicans because we chose NOT to be puppets anymore. One thing we both have always preached was respect for all residents once we were in a position of serving on council. It is hard to please everyone, but as long as you stay true to yourself, the rest falls in place. Thank you again for your kind words. Means a lot to Sue and me.
