2 shot near school in Ridley Township

RIDLEY TWP., Pa. - October 10, 2011 (WPVI) -- Police are on the scene investigating a shooting that happened just two blocks from a Delaware County elementary school.


The shooting happened around 6:15 a.m. Monday on the 900 block of Sylvania Avenue in Ridley Township.

Initial reports indicate that two people were shot at that location. There is no word on the severity of their injuries at this time.

The shooting happened about two blocks from the Edgewood Elementary School.

Police and detectives remain on scene in the area.
