Hello All Residents of Ridley Park,
The borough council will vote on the final 2013 Budget at tomorrow night's meeting. 2nd Floor of Borough Hall at 6:30pm. THis is a special meeting. We received the budget in our mailboxes today, dated Dec 26, 2012. Guess my fellow councilors on the Budget Committee thought that 24 hours was ample enough time to review their final budget. Had a chance to review and want everyone to come to the meeting on Friday. When we were told NO…Continue
Police Chief Tom Byrne's voice won't be heard on Delaware County's police band radio anymore, Ridley Park's top cop marked his last day on the job Dec. 21 and signed off the air. The 24-year veteran of the force will be moving on, he said. “I will spend a lot of time in Ft. Myers, Fla. I have a home there,” the 57-year-old Byrne told…Continue

The last time I checked the USA was still a democracy. That means that we have the right to speak our mind, agree or disagree with others ideas, and to contribute to conversations that help us develop our fullest potential. HOWEVER, democracy and freedom of speech have disappeared in relations with our current borough council.
This suppression of thought is done in many ways, Some ways are more obvious than others. This last council meeting was a blatant demonstration of…Continue

In recognition of the massacre in Sandy Hook, Conn., RPOL will participate in a moment of Web Silence today at 9:30AM marking the time a week ago 26 innocent children and adults were murdered. A similar moment of silent at 9:30AM is planned in Connecticut by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, to echo silence across the USA and around the world. We hope you join us.
I attended Tuesday night Borough Council meetings in Ridley Park for over five years and I don't recall any being held on Wednesday's. On Wednesday nights I attended the Telecommunications Committee meeting for over five years and I always confused my two commitments without a glance at a calendar. Last night was no exception when my holiday message mistakenly said that Ridley Park Borough Council meetings were on Wednesday's; that's not correct, they are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. …Continue

If anyone has been watching the Ridley Park Borough Council meetings lately, you will realize that last night was another public display of Bob Boland's Bullies. For the past several months, Boland has had rogue members of the Telecommunications committee come up to the microphone staging complaints . Last month Bob Berger tried to cover the fact that he is unilaterally making decisions and purchases. Tonight Len Pinto came to the microphone telling me that I am listening to the wrong…Continue
The Republican Party leadership of Ridley Park allowed it's entourage of Montly Mental Midgets to continue to speak tonight at the December Borough Council meeting. Len Pinto, who the hell is Len Pinto?, spoke during public comment and tried to attack Sue Murtha and myself at the meeting. Questioning why Sue and I serve on council. (Nick Micarrelli and Bob Boland I hope you two are so proud of your uneducated following.) I've never witnessed a more IMMATURE, self-…Continue
The same downtown Ridley Park M&T Bank that was robbed last December was robbed again Thursday afternoon. Instead of producing a pipe bomb like the successful crook last December, this time the lone robber got away with it by implying he had a weapon and demanding the cash.
According to police Chief Thomas Byrne in the DelCo Times, “A weapon was implied but not shown,”…
