It's been a marvelous first full year on the Internet for RidleyParkOnline, and how fast this year went by! With no road map, no how-to manuals, and only new directions in front of us, in 2010 RidleyParkOnline grew to become a hub of member contributed local news and discussions focused on Ridley Park. Last evening the Clemmer family, along with a bunch of other people, participated in a Flashmob at 30th Street Station. At 7:20 we stealthily met, then perpetrated our choir in the main area of the station. You can see from the link below that we had fun and made some people smile.
Many thanks to Josiah Krawiec, choir director at Ridley HS (and Ridley High alum) for organizing the event and the two rehearsals that helped us prepare!

Again this year the Ridley Park Highway department will gather used Christmas trees as part of Ridley Park's ongoing effort to keep green. For a two week period after Christmas, the RP highway Department trucks will patrol our streets looking for trees at the curbside.

Reading the article about the Phila. airport expansion, it touched on a good subject about new jobs coming into the region. It was interesting to see that there would be more people employed by this project. They are talking about 4,000 jobs being created. With unemployment at 9.5% in PA., I would think this would help our whole economy in this area. I have watched people from the Phila. region go to college and after graduating they leave the area because there are few jobs in this area.…Continue
