Have you ever heard of Concord Free Press? They are a Massachusetts publishing house that gives, yes gives books away. So they'll give you a book, but here's your part of the bargain once you receive one: you should make a voluntary donation to the person or charity of your choice; go to their website and chart your donation; then pass your book along when you're finished with it. Each book comes with a unique number, and a page at the back for you to write your name once you've read… Continue
If you didn't attend the Borough Council meeting last night and watched it on TV, the show from the audience was quite a game.
November's council meeting was the opening pitch for the 2010 Borough Budget and the audience was a dress-out of the who's who of Ridley Park politics. Minus a few faces, both parties turned out a full line up of head bosses, committee people, elected officials, elected candidates, unsuccessful candidates, and hopped-up operatives.
Does anyone know what happened to the Borough Website? I wanted to refer to it for the last council meeting minutes along with the special meeting that was held, but the website is no longer available. I contacted Terry Bradley about it and she claims it is temporarily down and would be back up soon. It has been 2 weeks and I am still waiting. Any input would be appreciated.
Heavy rainfall, a fresh "top-off" of gasoline delivery, and a corroded mounting plate on the top of an underground gasoline storage tank produced a gasoline spill in Ridley Township that threatens the life of Ridley Park lake. This isn't Vegas Baby "so what happens in Ridley Township doesn't's stay in Ridley Township."
I know we are all excited that the ONE PARTY RULE over Chester's City Council has been crushed but we need not relax and think that CHANGE has indefinitely come. One big question is... will the Dems truly resist the wealthy arm of the Republicans or will they gradually buy into the lifestyle of the ivory tower? Hmmm.... we shall… Continue

At the polls yesterday Ridley Park's Republican's capitalized on the borough's 2:1 Republican/Democratic voter registration and handily walked to a broad victory over their Democratic opponents. RidleyParkOnline.com's unofficial election results place the Republican candidates on top with a 38% Republican turnout versus a 45% turn out from the… Continue
I just found the fourth unsolicited piece of grade-school level Republican banter stuffed into my door tonight. This time it it is signed by that lovely "bipartisan group of Ridley Park residents" the Ridley Park Victory Committee. How sweet. First of all: why are you not home cheering on the Phillies? Second: How many trees in my rainforest are you responsible for destroying with this Fox News/Rush Limbaugh inspired shock-drama crap that nobody reads? Third: if I ever catch any of you touching… Continue
