Just want to bring this safety issue to the attention of parents that there are people running the stop signs. They aren't driving slow either, doing 25mph or better. RPPD is aware of this. Also PSP have been notified about this.
RPFD is always seeking volunteers. To join, stop by the station before 7:00pm on Thursday nights, or stop up when you hear the siren. You can also visit the "join us" section of our website, www.rpfd.com.
We pay for all training and fire gear. All we ask from you is your time.…Continue

I saw the below post on Nick's Facebook page and when I replied to it, he had it deleted and removed. So here is my reply that Nick didn't want you to see:
"Some councilors" on council as Nick proclaims: Dan Broadhurst, Mike Gale, and myself voted for the 2017 budget, but what we wanted the residents to know was that there are concerns that are red flags to our "non- political" opinions. We never said the finances are in bad shape. We know when we are borrowing from one…Continue
Please don't let your cats run loose at night. Twice in the past two weeks I have heard cats crying and howling and later saw a fox in the area of Kenny St. and East Ridley Ave. Around one AM. The fox had not caught anything. But it is disturbing.........

As I recall, a few years ago Borough Council revised Codes and hired a Code Enforcement team so that, as President Berger stated "now we can move on these properties." This meant the Borough has capability to correct "code violations" involving private properties, and Berger intended to make it happen. That was then; this is now...
Check out the accompanying photo. This is the first thing one sees as one enters the Borough on Swarthmore Ave.
How many "Code Violations"…Continue
Attached is a conceptual design for a redevelopment proposal for the downtown Business District of Ridley Park. This plan was presented to R.P. Borough council as a template for redevelopment by Sora Northeast, a Master Redeveloper from Sewell, NJ. Borough Council has held several meeting with representatives from Sora Northeast, which…Continue
Tonight's council meeting turned into a comical charade of "nay sayers" trying to create an atmosphere of fear and misinformation in regards to the proposed revitalization in the business district by Sora , a real estate Investment firm.
After several past public meetings with SORA, the next logical step was to have the Business Owners meet with SORA to answer questions and concerns. This took place in Borough Hall on Thursday Feb 16. The owners wanted a meeting where they…Continue
We've been receiving numerous complaints from residents on Hillside Road and Burk Avenue regarding Verizon's installation of Fios to these neighborhoods. Any rightfully so.
Seems that Verizon has filed the necessary requests with the Borough of Ridley Park to "open the street" for installation of Fios. Whenever a utility company wants to get access to the "right of way" along the streets to install their lines or equipment, they must advise and request permission from the…Continue

At a Public Meeting of the Shade Tree Commission (STC), Chairman John Hosbach asked me if I had "bashed the Shade Tree Commission on Ridley Park Online (RPOL)." John had been prompted by another member of the Commission to ask me that question because that is how he/she interprets some comments I posted on RPOL.
Since I was challenged in a Public Forum, I will respond in this Public Forum. I will also reply directly to Chairman…Continue

Jared's description about Borough Manager and the strong political influences of the Party leader and State rep. also apply to the School Boards in Del. County, including Ridley School District. How do you think that district administrators and teachers get hired, despite "sealed" files from previous employment by other school districts ?
The voting public need to demand transparency AND integrity from borough, school district, county, state, and national representatives - all…
A Borough Manager's job description is broad and expansive. Constantly changing and ever challenging, the many duties of a Borough Manager include: keeping the financial status of a borough current and accurate ( transparent to all ), constantly search for grants and financial opportunities in the borough's interest, preparing financial reports, working with auditors (state and local) to maintain financial protocol, answering residents concerns, following up on complaints and resident…Continue

Been in Tasmania the last few days seeing some of the interesting sights they have here. Went to Cradle Mountain for the day, got to see the amazing Tasmanian devil. Quite small little animal, got to watch some younger ones being fed. Very entertaining to see which one is the strongest & meanest one.
Stewart added his name to the EX-list at January's Borough Council meeting through a resignation notice that was not accepted by all Council Members (CM). CM's Broadhurst, Gale, and Brennan voted against…Continue
Ridley Park had the first measurable snowfall of 2017 last night. The official amount so far for 2017 is 0.9 inches according to the National Weather Service.
Tomorrow...an offshore storm may track close enough to bring another covering of snow along the i-95 corridor. Accumulations…Continue

What's happening between the Acme Shopping Center and the train tracks? There is usually much discussion after something is completed. Wouldn't it be nice to know ahead of time.
