Hello Michelle Vanella-Kudenko and Linda Shockley,

Thank you for your kind words.  This is not going to be a done deal.  I believe we can stop this billboard from being installed and I want it removed and placed in Catania Park where it belongs.  Michelle your perseverance and resolve are admirable.  Want to run for council?...lol   Please keep up the fight to stop this.  The residents of Hetzel Park showed me what they are made of by getting answers about this entire saga of deceit and greed.  I personally learned…

Ridley Park Billboard meeting lacks Kumbaya

With an overflow crowd of twenty five residents standing in the hallway, there wasn't a seat unfilled in Ridley Park's Council Chambers last night while Council President Bob Berger told residents how a billboard was allowed to become part of the natural landscape in Hetzel Park.

Council cuts out resident input from telvevised council meetings

Now, this currrent council is  controlling what we are allowed to see on our Ridley Park community channel! This is really the ultimate in  manipulating a community for their own purposes.  Please note that the council meeting being televised now is August  and the meeting stops before the residents give input.  That includes the Hetzel Park comments from residents about the billboard in the park.  The September meeting is NOT being  shown at all.   The rest of Ridley Park is not able to see…

New Artese 'N Toad CD in the works- at iTunes this fall

We are working on our new CD called "Return to Toadland," which will be mastered for iTunes.  It was to be a capstone project, but with such a deep catalog, let's just call it another milestone.  The songs you'll hear are from our archives, and mostly recorded at one of our many "Toadland" studios.  We've had many.  Some songs on this new CD will be from our never released "Songs from the Well," which was recorded entirely on an 8-TK reel to reel recorder.  I was such a fun project to do,…

St. Madeline's to defend Parish sustainability

Thirteen Delaware County parishes, including St. Madeline's in Ridley Park are the latest in a series of Roman Catholic parishes directed by officials in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to engage in “self-studies” that will determine their futures. Musselman Hall gets new look

Musseman Hall at Chrischurch, Sellers Avenue has new curtains thanks to Marlene Nickerson and Floss Rhine replacing the 30 year old curtains which were torn and faded.  In keeping with tradition, the original curtains were a memorial to Floss Rhine’s mother.  The church is also thankful  to Bill and Marlene Nickerson for hanging and bringing new light to Musselman Hall.
