It was nice to see the story in the Daily Times on Monday july 30th about the Sellers Avenue Bridge and the Petition circulating around the business district. Thank you to the business owners for their continued support to this petition. To date, we have nearly 500 signatures and counting in only our…Continue
I still miss his smiling face as he would hand me a few packets of sugar for my coffee in the Ridley Park 7-11. As Darmish would be making a fresh morning pot, Bob Logan was there. He had already walked his daily mile.
Retired from Sun Oil Company, and with 70 years as a Ridley Park Fireman, Bob was a fixture…

Please take a moment and read the letter and sign the petition in support to force PennDot and their architectural firm Ganett Flemming to re-evaluate the plans to replace the Sellers Avenue Bridge over the Amtrak railways. The weather cooled, the breezes blew, and it turned into a wonderful relief to be outdoors tonight. We rode our bikes to the farmers market and scored both a watermelon and some delicious bean salad, then I rode around a bit before coming home. People were out and about everywhere: riding bikes, blowing bubbles, practicing cheerleading, walking dogs... it was so nice to feel able to BREATHE for the first time in days.

Ridley Park's monthly meeting was canceled last night. There needs to be a better way to give notice to our residents in our borough. I understand quite a few residents came the borough hall last night to find locked doors & no notice on the door. I also discovered two of our own council members didn't know the meeting was canceled. Looking forward to hearing about how this happened at the next council meeting. I think the council needs to work on this problem.
Just wanted to share a continuing and annoying problem with an ignorant property owner in Ridley Park. Thursday after the Famer's Market I walked back to the business district via Sellers Avenue Bridge. I glanced over at the embankment that Amtrak, Septa, and PECO jointly ventured with the borough to clean up and maintain (the overgrown trees and shrubs) over a year ago. Now there is trash spewed all down the embankment behind the property along the railroad tracks that has the music…Continue

Hi! I've been a resident of Ridley Park now for 6 years and have absolutely fallen in love with historic feel of the town. I am interested in getting involved with the beautification of our downtown area or other areas like the tot lot. Are there any committees can contact? Where should I start?
