Ridley Park's Online Digital Community
Oh my goodness, we just got the letter about the water main work and I am SO not looking forward to this all summer....
If your Ridley Park son or grandson is entering 1st through 5th grades and is interested in joining the Ridley Park Cub Scout Pack 264, summer is the perfect time. Formal meetings gear up again in September in the St. Madeline's church basement, and we've got a lot of great activities lined up this year with a lot of your fellow Parkers volunteering to help out.
Scouting is a great complement to other activities, and we do our best to keep schedules flexible around sports.…Continue
Who's going to brave the heat to head down to the market tomorrow? I have a feeling attendance will be a bit light this week!
Ridley Park Excessive Heat Warning in effect from 1PM Wednesday until to 6AM Friday.
A period of early season dangerous heat will impact Ridley Park as a strengthening area of high pressure builds into our Borough today, tonight and Thursday. The high brings a very hot air mass with near record high temperatures which will also be accompanied by increasing humidity levels.

Global Friendships, Inc. is seeking 7 more families to host high school age students from Spain. I've been given the coordinator's job and we need help with host families. Our students arrive in America June 29 for 4 weeks! Please call Sue M. @ 610-316-7229 for info and with any questions.
There is an itinerary for all the students to follow and they will travel to four major destinations that host families DO NOT have to accommodate them. The students come with their own…Continue
Beware RP, we have more then a couple people driving through back alley ways of people houses trying to collect scrap or maybe even looking to see when people are home. We need to put an end to people driving through driveways that are only meant for home owners. We had a item taken, thank goodness it was broken, but it was still ours. So beware of the items and such that you leave out back your house. It was in front of our garage and someone just took it.
Thanks very much to Keith Lockhart for a very informative tour on Saturday. We loved being able to ask questions of such a well-informed person! I also thank him for donating his time and for donating the monies collected to the Library.

Was in Norway last week for a tour of the country, really nice place. Really big traffic jam at rush hour because of the free concert Justin Bieber had. Also there was very little police because they were on "STRIKE". Had a really great time. The sun rose at 4:00 in the morning & would set about 11:00p.m. Even after the sun set, it still didn't really get dark. Copenhagen, Denmark was also was great. Got to see the Queen of Denmark leaving the summer palace !

If there was a Borough Workshop last night, like advertised in the DelCo Times and on the Borough Calendar, I was going to bring up cleaning-up of the tot lot. I covered the Tot Lot Construction in 2009 for RPOL and I was hoping to tell my side of…Continue
I am pissed - walked all the way up to the park and someone was up there with soda or something and dumped it all down the slides, plastic cups everywhere and broken sandals too, etc. What a great party someone had last night, but my child could not enjoy the sticky after mess the drinks made on the slide.
My husband will be getting a job in the area and we are looking for an apartment.
We have a home back in Western Pa, so we will be visiting monthly with our golden retriever.
Any ideas where we can find an apartment?
