For commuters tired of pumping 12 quarters into parking meters every day to park near the Crum Lynne and Ridley Park train stations, there is good news on the horizon.



At February's meeting Ridley Park Borough Council approved parking permits for both locations. Permits will now cost $60 a month, roughly the same as paying $3 a day, five days a week, said council member James Glenn.

Came past this morning and noticed a multitude of crocheted birds hanging on the tree at the RP Library.  Maybe spring isn't too far away after all!

I'm happy to see that the Park House Coffee location won't be remaining closed much longer.  I stopped by yesterday to read the sign on the door, and met the owner... he said they do have a name chosen, but he's not giving it out yet!  The new place should be open by early March.

I want to say that everything that each of Bill's friends said about him that I totally agree.  Bill was the amazing embodiment of so many things good.  His passing is a great loss to our Park community as well  as the world.  Bill was very kind and respectful to other humans.  He was so able to interact with people in a meaningful way without overstepping hia boundaries.  A Class gentleman.  In so many  ways he was so helpful to me personally.   I will miss him greatly.
