Deja Vu - " I don't know the answer to that question." "Ernie, can you help me?"
I was at the January council meeting and a Hetzel Park resident, Mike O'Brien asked President Bob Berger a simple question in regards to the contract / settlement of the billboard. Once again Bob Berger had no answer and even looked over to Ernie, the Solicitor, to bail him out. I am beginning to think that all along Bob Berger NEVER was involved with the "real" negotiating of any of these…Continue
Local voters often ask us as Ridley Park Democratic Committee members what we stand for, what the choices will be in 2015, the next borough election.
The Ridley Park Democratic Committee, above all, stands for and works towards good local government for the Borough of Ridley Park, a government that represents all the residents -- young, old, and everyone in between. We stand for responsible stewardship of borough assets. We stand for open and honest borough management that…Continue

Just want to give a heartfelt Thank You to my wonderful neighbor Mike C—he used his snowblower to clear sidewalks and driveways all along our block. When my husband was alive he enjoyed using his snowblower to help out the neighbors also. As a widow living alone I am so grateful for all my good neighbors here in Ridley Park for their help

I am blogging about winter storm Janus happening outside my front door because there is little else going on to write about but the snow, the high winds, and the frigid cold temperatures. So far the storm has closed Ridley Schools, closed the Borough offices and moved the Borough Council meeting tonight to January 28 at 7PM.…

Just a simple shout out to fellow Parkers that it's time to pack our counsel meetings with the face of finance truth. Now we have Havertown so far succeeding in fighting billboards, this is in today's Daily Times:
Outside my door Ridley Park seems trapped in ice this as this morning's
rain has frozen into a sheet of slippery ice on my sidewalk and rear
deck. While it looks like rain covering my sidewalks, it's all slippery
ice and we can't get to the street without risking a fall on our stairs.
Everyone, when you clean off your car remember to clean the roof. It's the law. Leaving snow on the roof could create a danger for the driver/s behind you if it lets go & smashes into that car.
