Ridley News endorsements?

Mr Maurone,
Is the Ridley News really endorsing Jared Brennan, Sue Murth and Kevin Atwell? As evidenced by this website Jared, Sue and Kevin pay you to produce campaign literature. While endorsing paying advertisers is legal in PA, it is illegal in several states. At the very least it is highly unethical. Jared "Mr. Transparency" Brennan how much did this "endorsement" cost or are you only transparent when it benefits you?

Ridley Park Bounces Checks and Raids Capital Reserve Fund

Recently discovered and obtained Borough Bank Documents confirm the Borough Bounced Checks and Raided the Capital Reserve Fund one week after passing their “proud” Budget in January 2013.

Ridley Park Residents:  The Endorsed Republican candidates are going door to door boasting about their 2013 Budget and how proud they are of it.  It is in BOLD print on their campaign letter they are handing out to residents.  In January of 2013 Councilor Sue Murtha and I…

Keeping Ridley Park clean

I had a couple of thoughts after this weekend of lovely weather.

After your own YARD SALE, please try to go around and take down all the signs you have put up announcing it.  Likewise, if you see a sign on a pole for a yard sale that has already happened, why not rip it down and put it in the trash?

Let's say you are taking a walk.  Why not carry a plastic bag with you and pick up some trash along the way?  I have acquired a pair of long-handled tongs that I…

Stream and Lake Clean up - Saturday

We had a great turnout for the lake and stream cleanup yesterday.  Thank you to the Ridley Township Boys Scouts who came and helped.  Thank you to all of the residents who came out on such a beautiful day to keep the lake and stream areas clean.  Special thank you to The Chester-Ridley-Crum Watershed Association and our leader Brian for organizing this annual event.  It seems each year that we gather to clean up that we have less of a pile of recycles and trash when we take our picture. …

NEIGHBORS FIRST

We should all remember that we are neighbors first, politicians second.

To all who serve, have served or hope to serve on Borough Council, or any other public office, you should be aware that you will never make everyone happy all of the time.  Squabbles and disagreements will always arise.  It is important to remember before mud-slinging  or name-calling that we remember we are Neighbors First.

My thoughts and best wishes go out to anyone and everyone who has…

Thank you to County Council for Shales Money - Lake Dredging

Last month at the council meeting Ridley Park received $75,000.00 from the County Council towards the dredging of the lake and silt basin.  Didn't get a chance to thank all of the County Council members for stepping up and helping the borough maintain the lake.  Thank you for personally coming to present the check Tom, Mario, Colleen, and Dave.

Ridley Park Residents appreciate your support!

Political Campaigning Season Begins

Hello Ridley Park Residents,

I received a few calls and some friends have told me that my fellow Republican candidates for Council have been knocking up at residents homes asking them to vote for the " endorsed" Republicans.  One of my close friends asked where is Jared Brennan?  The candidates reply was that, " he is not an endorsed candidate."  Can I ask a favor of all residents who are confronted with this question.   Please ask them, "Why aren't  Jared, Sue, or Kevin…

Stray Dogs and Cats - Bob Berger's view vs. reality

Last night at the council meeting Bob Berger took the opportunity to try to explain to the borough residents what transpired in regards to the Humane Society, Animal Control, and the Delco Animal Protection past due bills of Ridley Park Borough.  Mr. Berger and the borough Manager announced that they stood up for the residents of Ridley Park and the above mentioned entities gave credit for wrongly billed animals.  I beg to differ.  There were about a total of three animals that were billed…

Red Fox in the Third

A large red fox has been spotted in the third precinct during the daytime. Yesterday it was jogging through my back yard. Neighbors have spotted the same fox last weekend, also during daylight hours.
