Does your School District maintain a "slush fund" in addition to operating expenses?
Hi guys! My friend, who lives near Leedom elementary, has a son who is going into 10th grade, and would appreciate some extra math help over the summer. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

We’re attuned to hearing stories about polluted water, land, and air when someone sounds the alarm about visible pollution we can see with our naked eyes. Like smog, an oil spill, or smoke from a fire when we see it we know it there. For others, it's more dramatic and visual pollution isn't always needed…Continue

Thank you to everyone that came out to vote in the election on Tuesday. What started out as a beautiful fall day in our borough turned to truly nasty weather by the time the polls closed. (Special thanks to my sister, shown below, who braved the worst of the weather with me.)
While the result wasn't a win myself or most of democrat team, I am deeply grateful to each of the 950 people that voted for me. I wish my opponent, Jim Glenn, great success in his new role on council. I…Continue

|Tax Collector 4 Year Term||Ridley Park Borough|
On Friday, November 3rd, a political attack ad was sent to residents of Ridley Park Borough accusing candidate Dane Collins of being an “Alt-Right Republican.” This attack included pictures of the candidates young daughter in multiple locations.
We are calling for an immediate explanation of this unfortunate decision by PA State Representative Nick Miccarelli (162nd Legislative District) and Sheriff Mary McFall Hopper (Delaware County, PA). In addition to her role as Sheriff,…Continue

In response to State Representative Miccarelli's recent letter to all Ridley Park residents I want to say; "Mr. Miccarelli, stop meddling in Ridley Park Politics and do what you were supposed to be doing as our State Representative! Start securing monies for your constituents and stop taking credit for the sound barriers."
Nick, you continue to hide the Auditor's Report of the Borough's Budget that Ridley Park continues to overspend over a quarter of a millions dollars…Continue
I just received the Republican attack advertisement in my mail over the weekend - I’m not surprised. I’m not surprised how low the Ridley Park Republicans will go in their attempt to stop the residents of Ridley Park from voting for councilors who are United for Ridley Park.
"United for Ridley Park" is a collection of both Democrat and Republican residents who want to end the deception and strong-arm politics that have been running Ridley Park for far too many years. …Continue

RPFD is always seeking volunteers. To join, stop by the station before 7:00pm on Thursday nights, or stop up when you hear the siren. You can also visit the "join us" section of our website, www.rpfd.com.

I saw the below post on Nick's Facebook page and when I replied to it, he had it deleted and removed. So here is my reply that Nick didn't want you to see:
"Some councilors" on council as Nick proclaims: Dan Broadhurst, Mike Gale, and myself voted for the 2017 budget, but what we wanted the residents to know was that there are concerns that are red flags to our "non- political" opinions. We never said the finances are in bad shape. We know when we are borrowing from one…Continue
