For those of you who missed last night's meeting (or for anyone who watched at home on Verizon with no sound) you missed a change in the Public Comments portion of the meeting. As unbelievable as it is, the same President, Bob Berger, who is so quick to bang his gavel, shout and threaten to have people removed for questioning the budget or property lines, did nothing while Mr. Roy Hickey ranted, cursed repeatedly and called residents "Cry-babies" and "Whiners." I cannot believe that Bob…

For anyone who missed the RP Borough monthly meeting on Wednesday night, May 21, Council passed new ordinances (concerning animals, sidewalks, soliciting and parking tickets.) I am posting this because I don't know if anyone was aware of these ordinances and that they were up for vote on Wednesday. (I sure wasn't.)

I am looking for a FIRST Lego League for my 4th grader. FIRST's website listed a group (4th - 8th) in Ridley Park called Ridley Robotics, but no contact info. Does anyone know who I can contact?

Carole,
Communication from council is a problem. Didn't there used to be a newsletter that was distributed to every household or am I imagining things? Is there any reason you know of that the borough website is not kept up to date with this information? You used to be borough manager, can you give us some insight to why the borough is not more savvy with the internet? People are used to being able to hop on the internet to find the information they need. I see that council minutes are now up to date but more could be done. That website was so out of date for so long that residents stopped checking it. There's where a lot of this information could be placed. If not acted on, the borough is going to end up being road kill on the information highway. Facebook? Twitter? Is anyone going to put RP on them?
