Well I guess council seems to not want to act on the inpoundment lot or should we also call it a storage lot...or really does anyone really know. I lookout off my deck and see Vans that have been…Continue
PS: I've also been attending workshops and Council meetings for about 4 years and your reception was unusual. Bob Berger was not there, not at the gavel, and not in charge of the workshop. Your browbeating came from one council member while the others appeared to be interested in what you had to offer. My point is DON'T BE DISCOURAGED! we have the best Ridley Park. You were heard...and Ridley Park TV will be recording the Official Borough Council Meeting on November 16 if you feel the matter needs further discussion. And if Bob can't attend, I'd wait to speak until he's there.
If you were the resident from Rogers Street who took the podium at November's Borough Council workshop after me, you took a browbeating and certainly heard more from council then they heard from you. The fact that you are a resident coming before Council to have yourself heard should have been enough. I was unaware of the topic but WOW-oh-WOW, I imagine there has to be more background behind this whole matter because of the interrogatory you were put through right from the start.
Fortunately one member of Council heard your plea and spoke out, demanding that the behavior towards you stop; the whole room had to agree. This changed the matter from attack mode to resolution; thank goodness; I wasn't sure how long you could to stand at the podium and take the assault, but you showed your character and hung in there through a lot of mud. I heard the business owner wanting to cooperate and I believe your situation is going to get better - keep RPOL advised.
