@ P.A. Guld, was wondering the same reason, or did the other employer take much longer to notify our former borough manger while he was doing his last job search. I know when I was on council the pay for the position was considered low. I think it is time to review the starting salary, I believe this would help.

Job advancement is definitely a reason to leave. I wonder what keeps individuals looking for a position or job after they accept the borough job? Are the working conditions that bad? Does the position come with a lot of work to get it caught up since so many individuals have come and gone? Are the stories we hear about how the borough council operates with little or no consideration of others permeate into the position? Oh, to be a fly on the wall!

@Charlie Maurone - Great local reporting. I can confirm you're correct and the current Borough Manager resigned. The reasons were job advancement and less commuting time.

The latest resignation follows the resignation in January of this year of Borough Manager Bill Stewart. Both Borough Managers resigned for employment advancement reasons. Everyone wishes both of these community servants the very best.

Like last year, October is a challenging month to retain Borough Managers in Ridley Park.

Ridley Park Borough manager desk empty again, in the last 8 years manager vacates the seat 4 or 5 times...no mention at the Council meeting Tuesday night that the manager is gone again.....
