I have not read The Help, so I went into the movie not knowing what to expect, it does have some very funny moments and I wouldn't consider it a drama.  But go see it you will love it.  Deb, all we can do it to put one foot in front of the other, and it is difficult especially on special days.  It is a different journey for everyone.  I also am on FB.  Your name if very familiar to me.  I am happy to see that the group is having some activity.

Kathy, Im a widow as well my husband Rick Hazlett passed away 3/19, I am so sorry for your loss,, each day is different,, this saturday is my 28th anniversary, so im sure it will be difficult,, Im also on facebook, as well..if you want to chat more,, im a nurse, so can give some inpu regarding knee surgery, I hope thing go well for you,, I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, take care..

HEY, I'm in! I just read "The Help" and I'm a bit confused; I didn't see the book as a comedy, but ads for the movie looks like the movie is a comedy. Is it, or did they make it look like one just to bring people to see it?

When I started this group I had no idea what to expect,  WE have had a few people up but we haven't had much in the way of discussions.  I am widowed 2 yrs now and would like to hear how other widows have dealt with their loss.  I am about to have knee revision surgery for the 2nd time and would love any suggestions on how to get thru this recovery and keep my sanity.  I am looking for restaurants who sell ready made meals that can be frozen.  I lived on the premade meals at Tweedys my last surgery but would like to find another place so I can have a variety of food.  Went to the movies and saw The Help, it was wonderful, would recommend  it as a must see.  I read the Pilots Wife, first book I finished since my husband died.  So I hope this will get some discussions started.

I had a wonderful experience yesterday in Phila. Attending a fundraiser for Bryan Lentz & getting to meet the Vice-President Joe Biden. There was even the Tea Party outside the Sheraton Hotel to greet us.
