Can you believe it that winter's coming to and end.  Could the storm tonight bring the last snow fall of the season? 2-4 inches are expected and that should be enough for great pictures.  This year I'm ready for spring to come but I still have enough love for winter in me that I'm ready for one more chance to shoot pics of the snow in RP.

Debbie and I have had a lot of difficulty getting a kite aloft at the Middle School athletic field. We've rushed there twice on windy days only to find that either Lakeview or the Middle School were creating a vortex over the field and keeping our kite from reaching the gusts of wind that were 35-50' over us. This is an awesome idea with some incredible shots -

As you can guess, this is Rebecca's husband David who just commented about the ABC field..This is the one to fly a plane in, rather than kites.

This is a great idea.. Back in the 70's when I was into Estes rockets they had one with an actual mini film camera which (they claimed) recorded the launch for about 30 secs or so.
The ABC field is out for kites; I tried to fly there with my kids and there is not enough directional wind to get them above the turbulent dead zone. The low field behind the HS might be a good place to try.
I recently got a super light (-1 oz.) RC plane, and this helps keep the wind damped down. Flying at dawn and dusk is always the best.

Thanks! Not a bad idea - the houses won't block the wind anywhere near as much as the middle school does. I may try it this weekend, if weather permits.

Great shots! You may be able to get a kite up in the park on Park Street, where the baseball fields and basketball courts are.
